Short bio: M.Sc. Sensors & Cognitive Psychology. Has worked as developer, nurse and mechanic; is gamer, woodworker & cosplayer. Passionate about music, will occasionally talk about Techno. Likes rhythm games.
My projects include my work on two jam games: Labodytory, where I was the lead developer and one of three level designers, and Iron Warriors, where I was the lead developer. I also work on the upcoming 9 Dystricts where I implement path finding algorithms, take care of input handling and controls and do a lot of playtesting.
For university, I built a highway scenario with Unity for my research job, simulating various car movements in traffic for driver research purposes. I used that to write my master's thesis, transfering the highway scenario into an urban scenario and porting it from Windows desktop to room-scale VR (SteamVR)to make it usable for pedestrian research. I handed in my thesis in June and am currently waiting for my grade.
I like to write little tools and scripts to make processes more efficient. I have an eye for intuitive controls and UI. In the year between my studies, I worked full-time as a Junior Consultant, where building tools to help my colleagues work more efficient was my main task. This included leading responsibility for the build pipeline team.
I play on Steam Deck and PC, including an HTC Vive Pro. The most important thing in a game for me is immersion, be it because of good use of VR or because of great story telling and world building. I also like a good fast platformer (I probably played the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy at least five times). Steam says: JRPG, Female Protagonist, Co-op, Platformer. Probably has recency bias, I played Divinity: Original Sin 2 as much as Final Fantasy.
Currently playing: Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Death Stranding, Beat Slayer

I handed in my thesis in June and am currently waiting for my grade. I'm looking for a job as a Unity developer, tool developer or build engineer. I learn fast and have many fields of interest. I can take responsibility for my work and for a team. I can structure code when starting from scratch and I can also work with existing code bases.
My educational background includes psychology and research methods, computer science and computer graphics as well as maths, physics and electronics. My professional background includes freelance web development and two years at an IT consulting company, where I built automation tools for the development pipeline in a team that I established and led. I like efficient workflows and will probably write a script to automate something at some point in any job. I'm good at solving things with code.
I live in Germany (CET / UTC+1) but I'm okay with working remotely.
My only social network is Mastodon. If you think you would like to work with me, please reach out here on Itch, on Discord or on Mastodon (same username everywhere). I will give you my mail address when we get in contact.
